Bio

Based in Greater Manchester, Micky Wozny has worked in animation for 10 years and has completed an MA in Directing Animation at the National Film and Television School. Whilst at the NFTS, she directed Max (2018), Dots (2018) Let Her Rip (2019) and her award winning film Something Borrowed (2020).  

Whilst animating on series 2 and 3 of the BBC children's show JoJo & Gran Gran, she completed another award winning animated short Odd One Out in 2023, which was funded by the BFI Network Midlands, Film Hub Midlands and the National Lottery.

She has worked as a lead animator on Sky series Happy Town and has recently wrapped on Rafi's Wishing Wizard at Blue Zoo Animation Studio as a 2D character animator.

She’s passionate about rich and authentic storytelling and is eager to bring stronger female roles to the forefront of animated media.
